Problem to Consider:
IU South Bend has determined that to assist in the health and well being of the Unity Gardens, the IUSB Honeybee Project will officially begin one year from this fall. During the planning phase, several key administrative personnel will be facilitating four informative community meetings: #1 will be held in September; #2 in November; #3 in February; and #4 in April.
The September meeting is to determine the number of and potential locations for the IUSB urban beehives. Your small group has been asked to assist in the information-gathering phase of the project. To do this properly, you must:
(1) Gather helpful information regarding honeybees;
(2) Investigate potential beehive sites on the IUSB campus; and
(3) Consider potential profits for the campus should the beehives flourish.
Steps to Take:
Within the time provided, each small group will:
(1) Using the map provided, explore your assigned area for potentiality;
(2) Collect specific data regarding potential locations;
(3) Analyze the collected data; and
(4) Report to the larger group your findings, including your suggestion for the IUSB urban beehives.
